My biggest issue is that a mounted archer can maneuver while on horseback while a mage cannot. I can not see any reason to this though. An archer can not shoot a bow with one hand so why can mages not turn ***or*** why can archers? Also, I have heard that the goal is to prevent Hybrid builds...
