I argued about Trinkets again on the MO Discord. Total Recall, "This is becoming an obsession!" Anyway, without going into all of the reasons why I think that they are ruining the game, I have come up with an interesting new idea (maybe?)

I will post it here!

TRINKETS DROP ON DEATH. Idea over! No, but Trinkets drop on death.

The tiers stay the same (crafted with the mats they are listed as,) the gems stay the same (assuming you can get all of the gems well enough in game.)

Maybe rebalance the max attributes for each tier of band, but imagine with a cuprum coral trink, you get your choice of ONE max attribute that is possible. No RNG, you just outright choose, and each time you go up a gem level, you get to choose another. So the highest tier gem could allow for 5 or whatever max bonuses of that type.

I think they should have a certain amount of charges before they disappear. I would even be interested to see the gem downgrade each time, so if you make a super trink with a top gem and you die and someone loots it, it will only be a 4/5 or whatever the max gem level is. Then 3, etc.

ADD IN JEWELCRAFTING.

And any time you are at the trinket bro, you can adjust your chosen stats. Also, maybe there is a way for a jeweler to replenish charges for acceptable cost. E T C.

Make it so that it follows the game loop, which is actually: GATHER RESOURCES / REFINE , CRAFT, USE / SELL, LOSE.

You could have just typed that headline then banged on the keyboard, because YES but no because it would take a wipe for that to happen
