To use a Wayshrine you will first need to activate and unlock it by visiting it while alive.

You will then be able to travel to and from your activated Wayshrines as a spirit by first navigating to one and then departing from it, as well as view their locations on your map.

When traveling by Wayshrine, your spirit will be sucked through a conduit like a pneumatic tube toward the destination location over a period of time. This is not planned to be a simple loading screen, but rather you will see the world moving by around you so that you may see how close you are to your destination, accompanied by etherworld appropriate screen VFX and sounds.

There will also be lore notes which talk about what is happening during this process, and how it is possible within the context of the world.

but why when they could just make it so you can teleport just like you would out of haven or to home priest??? Why can't you fucking choose which priest to teleport to? Why does it have to be lore or activated. I said I would sub if they just did this, and I am still ON FENCE (my main sub expires today, it says, but my 2nd is still on for a few more days.) MO is always disappointing me. They choose weird hills to die on.

Edit: still shocked they are gonna waste resources having people derping thru the etherworld instead of just adding a port haha. SHITTT.

I 100% agree. I don't give a single flying fuck if fast travel is instant. I don't. Every single argument against instant fast travel is flawed and quite frankly the people making these arguments should just be flat out ignored and banned from being taken seriously ever again. I am playing a fucking video game. Nothing is real. Nothing matters. You know what does matter? Having fun and me not wasting my time trying to actually play the game.

A whole section with just some banking reworks?
FarmerJoe just copy WoW's Ui mechanics and you won't have to rework it ever again.
Improvements to ghost travel will not maje the game be any less of a tedious time sink it already is with nothing to gain from it.
UO had teleport, gate travel and etc and it still supported a better pvp ecosystem than this alpha.

They can make it thematic. But it is actually going to take resources to code this shit when they already have the ability IN THE GAME to port. Lowest level would be to give every priest a number and allow you to enter that number to port then give you a hard cooldown regardless. That would be the simplest implementation and then they could balance from there.

The lore thing is strange because like... how are we loring the idea of loot luck or % gain in mining, taming speed, etc? How are we loring siege windows?

I do think that making it so that people cannot quickly respawn at the same priest is a big thing as it will change war a lot, and it will also change spawn camping (on both sides.) I do a lot of shit talking from the ghost world, and I really think they should make it so you cannot talk from the ghost world to reality, either. I suggested that shit a long time ago. NICE TO KNOW THEY ARE THINKING ABOUT MY SOLUTIONS YEARS LATER.

They should add instant ghost travel between town priests on a trial period. After some time they poll the community and evaluate the outcome, voila case closed. It can always be limited by x amount of tps per day if they want to restrict it some.

I personally dont like the idea of people being able to port all over the map whenever they like. Already you can play multiple characters and have them logged off all over the place. If they allow people to just teleport across the map at will, then any pvp conflict that lasts more than a couple of minutes will have the whole server showing up. It will be impossible to siege or do anything without half the server showing up just cause. All people have to do is type in Nave chat and the whole server can just show up. Even if you win a fight, but you take too long, you’ll then be 3rd partied. Total cancer.

I would be ok with 1 (naked) teleport once a day type of thing, something with a long cooldown, but endless teleports across the map will not improve the game.

What are you talking about? The average fight is under 60 seconds. If you don't believe me go to youtube. Even if someone does what you say it will take them 5 minutes to suicide, port, regear, recharge, etc. This doesn't even include getting to the "large" fight at an outpost, dungeon, keep, or SH. The game wouldn't be any different than it currently is for PvP fights. Also, like hell I'm burning charges to get a fight. But sure man. You and your boys keep the course. Have daddy Henrik address none of the key problems. Have fun with you sub 300 pop private server.

I am gonna move my spam to MO discord I think. I have posted here too much haha. But we are all talking about while naked. I personally like to 'live' in different places as well as do broker stuff as much as possible. I know that there is supposed to be travel time, but the game is not really working as intended on a population level. I am ready to travel around and hook up the brokers for everyone :D But when it equals hours upon hours of travel, it's like tbh no.
