They should try to switch from the slow deplete / slow regen stamina system to a fast deplete / fast regen one to see if it could be better. It worked very well in Life is Feudal for example.

Special attacks work very well in Life is Feudal, I don't see why they wouldn't also work well here. Having kicks and special attacks would be way better than having to rely on fast spins that break the proper attack animation to be an aggressive player.

Ever played mount and blade? Landing a successful kick is no easy thing. A kick would be a very good mechanic for this game.
