Greetings Mortals,
Last Thursday on September 22nd at 7 PM UTC Henrik hosted his regular weekly stream over on Twitch.
Henrik hosted the first ever dueling tournament in the Tindrem arena.
The tournament consisted of almost 80 duels between skilled combatants, followed by a cooperative effort to take down some large foes in the arena.
Congratulations to the player “HornyFurry” for winning almost 50 consecutive fights and taking home the victory.
To all the players who came to the tournament, whether it was to compete or just to watch, thank you for coming! We hope to see you all again in the next one.
Henrik also held his usual lengthy Q&A session during the stream, answering many questions from the community, as well as giving away one free Steam copy of Mortal Online 2.
The stream has been archived on our YouTube channel, with some handy chapters and timestamps in the description!
If you’re an early bird to this post, please allow some time for YouTube to finish processing the video for the full quality.
Next Patch
We transitioned the system our team uses for code and art submissions this week, which unfortunately delayed our original release window for the patch.
It was worth it however, as this change will allow us to more easily hotfix issues in between major patches. At the moment we are testing a new build, and If everything goes well, we will try to patch this week.
Shoulder Armor Blocking View
We have a solution for the current issue with how shoulders can block your view depending on your character’s body size and type. In the next patch, we have made it so the shoulders will be invisible in first person view.
Siege Machine Preview
We are still working on the art and assets for these systems, and are getting closer to being able to show you what we have come up with. We think they look great and are very excited to show them off.
Big Battle Close to Meduli Last Weekend
We want to thank those who participated in a spontaneous battle over last weekend. It allowed us to gather some valuable server data so our programmers can improve large scale fights and the load they have on our servers.
Large battles and player gatherings are a core element of what Mortal Online II is all about. We encourage these types of battles as they can be extremely beneficial for highlighting any bottlenecks we still have that arent visible until we get hundreds of people in one location.
We are always working to improve the performance of our server, and we hope to see more fights like this soon!
Pet Pathing and Following Changes
Internally we are discussing ways to improve how pets follow the owner and how they path through the land. We have several options that we are considering, though we do not want to implement a change or fix that could negatively impact PvP as this is a obviously sensitive issue.
We appreciate your patience as we address this.
Three Clothing Sets in Progress
Currently we are working on three new clothing sets for players to craft and wear which will give you more options when traveling in the world or the towns.
Once we have more to show or talk about, we will make sure to include it in an upcoming stream.
Whether you’re a longtime fan of Mortal Online 2 or a newcomer in the world of Nave, dive into the vault with Henrik on Thursdays at 7:00 PM UTC to get your questions answered by the CEO and game designer.
See you in Nave,
The Star Vault Team
