I'm not even sure anymore. Alchemy is such ass and so shallow compared to the potential it should have. I guess to just build a house and make stuff and pvp roam.

I voted PVP, RP and Trade. These are the reasons I will play MO2 when it releases persistent.
In prepersistence beta I log to playtest and see whats happening with development.
Edit: For me trade also mean crafting and some pve.

Would we be able to choose only one, we would've been able to analyze what brought us or keeps us to the game in the first place.
Fair enough that pretty much the Social, Killer, Explorer and Achiever mentalities are represented here by the players. Afterall its base is pretty much build after a mmorpg sandbox structure. Nice question nonetheless Dracu ... to see where the community stands more or less.
Interesting it is to see how many of us are looking forward to the exploring part nearly as much as the pvp part.
This game deserves the benefit of the doubt to press through with adventure and exploration, include Killers (pvper) into it Explorers (pvxer) won't mind, they are there to experience this exact game.
Add social players (pver) to it that will gossip about the game and its politics, minigames, craft and trade. Will they be killed they surely will leave more often but the pve game keeps em alive and so will the pvp flourish.
Then it looks like the achieving players that play the game to get all achievements no matter what seem to lack, hopefully this can be added to give a more pve/pvp content to keep the killers (pvper). With titles and stuff.

How much of it is needed of each area we can more or less see here to make the perfect balance of this game available for everyone and make the community happy. Coming from a gaming developer stand point of view.

Where we can progress and make the game more attractive.

As far as alchemy systems go, MO/MO2's system is by far the most advanced. What were you expecting, a bunch of flashy effects?
MO's alchemy system is superficially advanced. It is in truth very simplistic, datamined, and only has a couple usable combos. Its really just an additional grind to push your gear crutch to another level.

Hot place full of hate.
Wait what? Does someone actually still plays MO2?
I thought the main goal now was to troll each other on forums.

Where is the option "To play selfclaimed THE MOST HARDCORE MMORPG only by words"?

It's pretty obvious you have no idea what you're talking about. Simplistic compared to what? Where is the mined data? What have you even tested?

I don't agree that it is simplistic, it's the best system SV has ever put in the game to be honest. There are rumors of some of the info being datamined a long time ago, I don't have any hard evidence to prove it. But besides Warchild being a giant POS and lying about figuring it all out when he actually took a published forsaken recipe and magically multiplied it, the evolution of what was made and sold actually followed an organic path of discovery where the results got better over time as more people figured it out or more people shared information. Some of us actually tested nearly all if not all materials in the game to figure it out, and while that's not something most people would enjoy, I certainly did.

It doesn't matter and this is the point alchemists always seem to miss. An entire character's professions just so you can make some healing/purify potions and not much else to show for it...I can't believe it stayed like this for over 10 years. An utter waste in MO2's model for anyone that isn't a whale with 3-4+ active accounts and more spare time in their life than is healthy.

What's the point I'm missing? Or rather, what were you expecting it to be? Or what would you do to make it better?

Should there be more viable types of potions, maybe? But if you believe Henrik (I don't always) we didn't figure them all out before. What types...no idea really.

But you don't want it to get absurd with a ton of ridiculous unbalancing effects...to be honest late game potions as is can get too strong to the point it's overkill, especially given the higher TTK now and all other methods of near instant healing in the game. It's another fine line that would be easy to cross over and become a bad time for everyone who didn't have a path to the best outcomes.

It's a unique craftskill compared to all the others, and it's well designed for people who like research. If you don't like research and just rely on other peoples research I could see how it could feel lame I guess. Or if you're not interested in the gathering involved I get it, but you can always contract that work out thru buy orders or just buying from gatherers...which is a thing in this game..people like different things you know. I bought a lot of ingredients from others in the old game when I didn't feel like gathering it myself.

The problem with Alchemy is there are Direct Healing potions, HoT potions, and eventually Direct Poison and DoT potions will be useful too.

There should be a minimum of a dozen different potion effects out there.

The other problem is HoT and DoT effects need 1-2 more decimals of information so they have readable values like direct effects. This has been a problem for like half a year and still hasn't be fixed. Shows how little they actually care about crafters. I could forgive the current shallowness if they at least took care of the simple shit to show they care.

But you write in MO forum, it's something 😁

Obviously he still really cares about this game and is just throwing a fit because things aren't going his way, or is intensely triggered by it's community but is trying to play cool and not show it. So transparent.

If its datamined where is the evidence?
I highly doubt that you can datamine that because you have so much combinations. That you need to calculate too. I dont think this is going to work in any way. and it would be really lame if datamined, the fun part is to research it and find it organicly.

It isn't essential, but it does make it easier. The same method to find smaller values was used in MO1 .
