Mounted archers got 6 usable abilities now. Good for them. But why forget about MC as a whole. Is it not supposed to be a class of its own? So why is MA/MM then? Doesnt make sense to me.
Lancer was once a viable class on its own. (Well, in a Solo Setting still inferior to MA/MM, but good in group fights for killing mages). Now theyre victims of MA‘s, free kills if you will. And no skill can compensate for that in a 1v1 since its practically impossible to outmaneuver a MA and get an actual dismount on him if he has atleast 2 braincells. Same goes for MM. Im well aware there is the possibility of dismounting a MM with a Long handle lance before he gets his EQ Off with a direct Hit to the Head under Perfect circumstances. But this method is Not reliable at all compared to the success you‘d have just EQing someone.
What Happens After the EQ? Well, if its a spider, you get eaten alive pretty quick. Same goes for a max lvl taur dog for example which can also wear armor and are practically invulnerable to a wheelchair pulling out any Kind of melee weapon. This happens while also getting death handed by the mage at the same time. So what would be the solution to balance this Dilemma and give lancers some Kind of survivability in a 1v1?
An ability which increases the range of the lance and dealing Full dmg from whatever direction. Maybe Not Full dmg, but 70% or whatever of the damage you would deal if the target stood still. Why is this in my opinion Not an overexaggeration and completely broken/overpowered? Well, ofc such an ability would also have a Timer. Make it 8 seconds, 10 seconds, whatever. It wont hold on forever. You also Need to get Hits on the Enemy First. Which isnt easy since youll still be an easy target for MA‘s. You still have to outmaneuver them in some way. Or catch up to them or whatever.
A MM on a spider is Not a walking guaranteed death for you anymore, but also not an easy kill, since he can just reset and wait Till Your Timer Runs out. It would be 1 ability for lance. But it would be enough to atleast do lancers a Little Bit of Justice, giving them a tool, which also only under the Right circumstances, wouldnt make them a laughing stock for other mounteds anymore.
