Some "new player experience" suggestions

1. One of the first things the tutorial needs to tell you is that only the tutorial area(Haven?) is instanced but the rest of the game is not, so new players won't think the whole game is instanced if they can't see their friends in tutorial area.

2. All the tutorial info and text from the tutorial pop-up info boxes should be saved and be accessible at any time through some in-game menu or journal, in case you accidentally skipped one tutorial box or forgot how something works.

3. Instead of a glowing area for your next tutorial objective, copypaste the beam of light that priests have (with different color) for each objective so you can easily see the marker in the sky. Idk if compass shows the next objective but its not very noticeable if it does.

4. Show a "secondary" tutorial objective that marks the teleportation statues for players who don't want to do the tutorial for whatever reason, and then add all the tutorial info into the menu/journal/whatever like you would if you did the tutorial normally. (and have a pop-up box telling the player what menu they can find the tutorial info later in)

5. Haven teleportation statues' UI is confusing, you can't change teleport destination if you have items locked in. Should have a text saying "remove items to change destination" or something.

(edit) 6. After teleporting out of Haven, tell the player that their items are in the bank

Just these 2 points

It does, maybe the tutorial should point out how to use the compass but once you know they're there they are quite obvious

It also already does... maybe the text is too small or something but it is there

Ah, me or any of my friends didn't notice either of these so I assumed they didn't exist

Would actually be nice if you could select the starting town on a map of myrland, like it's done in UO. It's more intuitive and introduces the player to the big world ahead.
It should just randomize the town you start in
