Allow for a 12h period for 1 day only, that anyone logging in gets to play for 10 minutes and then gets booted.

The purpose of this would be to allow the thousands of players that just want to delete their character so they can then go back to Haven. There are many things to do there. Obtaining Clades, reading dozens of books and mastering trade skills.

Simple, and this would also at the same time greatly reduce the number of players in the queue who want to play on the main land.

1 day only for 12 hours.

There are easier ways to make it so people can delete their character. Like putting a delete character button below the log in button.

Yes, that would easier for US, but apparently not for the developers. I thought maybe a mechanic that's in line with code they aready have in place can be an easy fix for them. It would piggy back off of perhaps the kick system code.

That is not as easy as just putting a button there. It would probably require some rewrite of the login servers or something to allow for access to the character database without accessing the actual game server. Their entire login process is probably fundamentally flawed as it has you log directly into the game servers.

I am not a game programmer, only a lowly technical support guy, but I'd probably expect two separate server apps, one you initally log into that handles access to things like the character data and puts you into the login server and a second one which is the actual server app (okay, probably at least three apps for the basic principle?). They did probably skip the first part.
