Hi. I have a suggestion for this game. I have been playing for over 1k hours now and well over 10+ months. Just to establish myself a little bit

What I am proposing: Lawless sections of the map with high valued resources that can be farmed, then proccessed to sell for gold

Basically heres what im thinking

Step 1: You ride out to an isolated part of the map. This region would be lawless for around 500 meters around the resource. It should give you some sort of indication you are entering a lawless zone (kinda like the pop up that says enable criminal actions). It could be anywhere but for this example, lets use a section of the Jungle. You would collect the high value resource which would be only worth a bit right now. Lets say it takes you 30 minutes of picking to collect a stack and the stack would sell for 15 gold. Resources will be similar to how Salvia is handled. So you can only pick so much at a certain spot before needing it to respawn

Step 2: Process the resources. You would then ride the materials you have collected to another part of the map. This would also be relativly isolated and placed in a spot somewhat nearby but still a 10 ish travel distance from the resource pickup. It would also be lawless. Think like the jungle camp but much smaller. Processing the resource would take time like 10 minutes a stack so it would require someone defending you. It would be similar to crushing resources with a crusher. The processed resource though would multiply the value of the item nearly by 10. Basically the longer you stay there the more value the resource collects. We can have multiple resource points but there should only be 1 or 2 processing sections of the map to balance it out into chokes. Allowing guilds to take and hold the spots if they wish.

Step 3: Selling the material. You would then need to find a city to sell it too. You could have specific "illegal" or "black market" sellers in cities like MK or Tindrem. You could also have them in lawless cities as well for maybe more value with the higher risk. However the entire concept of balancing the prices is not what I want to tackle. The idea would be a choice. If you have a group that can defend you in Kran to sell the resources then get the gold banked then thats an option. Otherwise for most guilds they will take it to the capital. Cities having slums or lawless distrcts would be idea for this but the NPCs can be moved after those are added.

The intention of this idea is to give a gameplay loop towards Red/PVP focused players. I have basically stolen this right out of Arma Roleplay servers since this is the typical gameplay loop for 'drug' proccessing.

This would give red players a gameplay loop that gives a lot of options in how to tackle it. For example a large guild can sit on the processing site and guard it then kill everyone who tries to use it, leading to pvp between pvp focused groups. Or maybe they can try and tax people who enter. Smaller groups might try to sneak smaller batches in while larger guilds control the majority. The entire idea being a very high risk but very high reward gameplay loop will attract players. Housing ontop of that can open a lot more options in the sandbox for what players want to do.

Totally open to feedback on the Idea as well. Some issues that stand out to me is the already poor economy gold is in and the negatives adding another huge gold dump would be to the game. However I dont think this idea would work if it was just some new or pre existing resource.

Thanks!

Kinda depends would this resource be used for something useful, I don't really enjoy the idea of something really important or vital being gatekeeped by large guilds. There should be some way to have enjoyable PvP without the one with the highest numbers always taking control.

Hmm...

Tephra.... pretty valuable few locations all of them are in VERY lawless areas.

Gabore - VERY valuable also in a VERY lawless area.

Blast Furnace - Only found in one location and good luck getting guards there.

Greater Natorus - Yep... Not exactly a safe zone.

Jungle Camp librarians - LOL as safe as the Congo during the height of the bush wars.

Hermit Hut - not a guard around... and pretty exposed location with lots of ambush spots.

ANY of the dungeons... Illusionist, Minotaur King, Clothos Queen, Nitre Queen, and so on....

Perhaps you should leave Fabernum.
