As I consider playing MO, I will once again CLAMOR FOR THE REMOVAL OF MASTERY AND TRINKETS!

I am ready to concede that there should be grind-able rewards and sub-time rewards. It just does not make sense that they should be tied to making your character better. I really feel this system is going to fuck the game regardless of how it plays. Nobody wants to spec up in a full loot pvp game haha.

So, what I suggest is to go in on some mechanics that are already in the game: loot luck, mine %, chop %, gems, scrolls, treasure chest randomness... and tie them to rings and a system like mastery. Allow there to be life skill masteries (gains of processing, crafting, etc,) and adventuring masteries. Perhaps masteries that tie in to defense and damage against pve enemies, but not against other players. Even Guild Wars 1 understood one cannot balance a 'serious pvp' game for pve and pvp at the same time! Then let there be trinkets that just give people more loot. I'd be open to trinkets allowing many things as long as those things could be taken away when someone dies.

This would be a great step to level out the game and actually get new players. People are always gonna have problems with MO, but the fact that you can spec up and compete in the first couple of days is its redeeming factor.

As for QoL, I mean... more storage, more mail, mail-to-storage transfer? Stuff like that. I am not opposed to people getting more carry weight, maybe something that your pets automatically need no food and never loyal out, or that you never need to replenish your reserves, that you can adjust your weight occasionally. There are a million of things that would be FREAKING AWESOME to have on a character that do not directly impact PVP balance, and I urge SV to consider adjusting the game so that they are what people gain by grinding, not pure damage etc. It is just so broken, and I personally don't know who would start playing to just be food. - shrug -
