AI Aggro system

I know that SV probably don't want the classic MMORPG Aggro/threat system in their game. But the current AI behaviour switching targets all randomly makes no sense to me.


My suggestion is a aggro system with a twist.
AI will attack the player who has done the most amount of damage, but there is for example a 50% chance that the AI will switch and target the player with the second most damage done for 10-15 sec and then switch back to the top damager. This % chance of getting attacked could be added to every player around, but the chance of getting attacked should be lower depening on how much damage you are doing.

Thoughts?

If its target is being heal too well It might need to rush the mage depending on how much stamina the mob has.

It would be really cool if they could somehow work into the AI needing to block LoS or hiding behind players/things if they are getting damaged.
