The big problems with this system is it doesn't fix any of the problems which result in people not wanting to play this game.

Stating that we have all these new abilities and therefore people won't spin is ridiculous first of all. Obviously they are still going to spin. But now you have a bunch of new animations and stuff which you expect people to learn and find that fun somehow?

It's never gonna happen. This is just going to frustrate people long term and after the initial hype wears off the games population will continue to bleed as the primary issues that result in the game not being fun are still unresolved.

The reason why the combat system is not fun, is because things are not clear. Animation hiding things by angling your character or spinning is aids and makes you reconsider your life choices as to why you would sit through such garbage and waste your precious time on this planet.

I will not be playing this update. Need to fix the core problems not just add random things and hope for the best. This is so bad for 95% of people. Need indicators at this point. Nothing else will help this game. Way too many animations while leaving in all the aids that currently plagues the game and prevents it from being fun.

Its pretty simple. The core problem is a melee system that requires low ping to work, on a server that has a huge variety of ping differences.

That creates desync and makes parrying much harder for those with higher ping as they see animation delayed, and have much less time to react.

This in turn forces SV to slow combat way down to help high ping players. Implement 180 degrees parrying and artificially “adjusting” input delay (ping normalization).

But this makes parrying insanely easy, especially for low ping players. So people have to start animation hiding and triple spinning/fainting just to be able to land a hit that is hard to block.

All because of the original bone headed idea that a ping dependant, timing based combat has to work on a single world wide server. Never going to happen. Ping will always be an issue. This is why every single other game in existence, which requires good ping, has regional servers. Its a no brainer….and yet Hernik is STILL unwilling to fix the core issue.

This game needs, and has always needed, regional servers.

I think it's getting close to the level where it can't bleed any more haha. The dudes left are probably gonna stay regardless.

I could get behind spins and animation hiding when you need a hit or as an opening, it would really add a different wrinkle to fights, but the fact that people end up JUST doing that makes it really stupid. I think people should have gains from all they practiced, but their way should not be the only way to win. In a way, these new attacks are just nubby auto hits like the spins were supposed to be vs people who don't have the proper ping.

They should have tried to put a cool down on parry haha. I think they are working backwards, as usual.

Better concentrate on the failing core mechanics and on the missing features from MO1!

Regional servers for 250 players in current minimum activity time? Lol...
But the next continent is announced to be in the US. No idea when it could be release. After announcement I hoped to get the continent end of this year, but meanwhile it seems to be next year or even later.

I’m just not sure how it took you folks so long to realize that mo2 is a sequel to mo in name only. The combat totally alien, the end game completely different, politics in mo1 vs literally nothing in mo2. Crafting, breeding etc the pve just feels wayyy worse in mo2.
