I didn't play daggers since beta and until the last patch, but it is my impression that they've actually become faster, in fact fast enough to compete vs swords despite despite all their flaws, simply due to their low weight. Either that or i've become better at PvP but i'm too hopeless for that.

Moving is affected by ping as well. You can be in Toxai and an opponent would be somewhere near the sausage lake and you can still get hit because lag.

Was the server lagging when you were banned? For me it happened less than a minute before the server crashed, so i suspect the lag caused the updated anti-cheat to give false positives somehow. Like, several actions came at once and were identified as speedhacking.
