Do you think Armor should give a movement speed penalty?

And it is supposed to prove... what?

    Door Interaction Timer (POLL)

You don't get hunted down by humanoid robots though. Not yet. Oh and i'm pretty sure medieval towns had enough murderers and scum of all sorts.

Why no red system like UO/Darkfall?

This is actually a cool adaptation of the alignment system to MO2. Think i'll adopt it.

I'm just curious, what exactly do you mean by "playing the game like an RPG"?

Why no red system like UO/Darkfall?

Not sure what you're talking about. If you are in the wilds and notice a player approaching, you should be on guard. Stop mining, precast etc. Their intention usually becomes rather clear rather fast. If you don't notice them then it doesn't really matter if they have red name or not. There is...

Do you think Armor should give a movement speed penalty?

Well 10% stamina loss is pretty extreme for a combat system that is based on parries. I don't see that many players wearing medium armor though. And if we just multiply 360 stamina (which is about the average for a full mellee build) to 0.84, we get 304, which is basically around what most...

Do you think Armor should give a movement speed penalty?

Trained people can usually run at the same speeds despite additional weight if it's evenly distributed. You just have to apply more force as you get heavier, but our running speed is more limited by our anatomy i.e. skeletal structure, muscule composition etc. So if the armor is of good quality...

    Door Interaction Timer (POLL)

What happened to the poll lmao? Last time i checked it was overwhelmingly in favor of shorter timers. Who on earth wants to spend 5 seconds opening a door, then 5 seconds closing it? It doesn't really solve any problems and is annoying to everyone. The solution is worse than the problem.

    Bony/Weights

I really hope they'll buff bony and skeletal with the release of necromancy.

    On the matter of strength.

This isn't true. Even with max blocking and defensive stance you get hit through parries even while wearing reptile merc if you're below 50 strength.

We need stamina for combat pets

Well then try taming a bear and train it to kill people. Come back and tell us how it works out for you. Plain wrong. Humans can run for much longer distances.

We need stamina for combat pets

Cost is never a good balancing factor. When despite all your skill you get roflstomped by somebody who literally just pressed one button, in a game that is supposedly skill-based, you don't really care how much they spent on taming, training, and feeding the pet.

    On the matter of strength.

They can't do much to you anyway. I too have hopes for staff magic but it's not good for the game when current problems are ignored because some future expansion (which may still be months or even years away) may or may not fix them.

Why no red system like UO/Darkfall?

That game had fast travel spells, moongates, and a very small world.

    On the matter of strength.

Strength affects many things, from your stamina pool to your armor weight, but there's one thing i personally find the most annoying. Having low strength, you are punished in three different way which complement each other: you can't use heavier weapons, which are usually just better and almost...

Do you think Armor should give a movement speed penalty?

No. But stamina regen debuff should be increased hard. But knowing how people hate stamina debuffs, the baseline should also be increased a bit. Maybe it should affect stamina when sprinting only, not swinging etc.

    losing weight ...

Losing weight is the worst experience you can have in this game.

    Primaries That Should be Secondaries

Yes, because with 28 strength (or 15) and light armor you get significant damage through parries without a shield. If daggers parrying ability is nerfed it will be much worse. It's not a game where you can reliably avoid damage by footwork unless you live in London. Inability to parry would turn...

    Primaries That Should be Secondaries

I really don't like the idea of daggers being something that either kills you or not, with almost no consideration for skill. Especially if it involves faster swings which will work great against players with over 100 ping like myself, but not so much against EU players. Now if we could apply...

    Door Interaction Timer (POLL)

5 seconds is beginning to grow on me. I need a lot of plate scales and still don't have a house in the jungle. However there are plenty of houses with a butchery at the shore that are just always left open due to the annoying timer, so i don't need one!
