A lot of the mechanics are not implemented yet and SV focus on the core mechanics. I would also like to see that more activities being added before the release. MO1 had a good ammout of Content and activities but not too much for Soloplayers. Thats why i think we need good gambling games...

True but shields from Ironwood + Steel are so strong, that you not get damage from arrows at all. Mounted Archers are quite strong. I think SV should rather balance the horses. It is justified for an expensive armor to hold back a good ammount of damage, but I think the horses need a weak spot...
